- 1. Membership
- 1.1. Books and resources will only be lent to members of First Nations House Library;
- 1.2.A membership will cost $10.00 a year and is active from September 1 to August 31 of each year;
- 1.3.Memberships are payable in cash to the librarian;
- 1.4. Membership will terminate at any time a student ceases to be enroled at the University of Toronto;
- 1.5.Members will be issued a library card with I.D. number as proof of membership;
- 1.6.Members must fill out the Membership application form;
- 2. Borrowing Period
- 2.1.Books may be borrowed for a period of two weeks and must be renewed at that time;
- 2.2.Articles or books in the Reserve Collection may be signed out for two hours at a time. Students must leave a student card, in addition to their FNH library card, when signing out reserve materials. Student cards will be returned when the reserve material is returned.
- 3. Fines
- 3.1. Books not renewed will be assessed an overdue fine at a rate of .50 cents a day;
- 3.2. Books and articles borrowed from the Reserve Collection will be assessed a fine of 2.00 an hour if overdue;
- 3.3. Overdue fines must be paid before further loans are allowed;
- 3.4. Non-payment of fines will result in suspension from membership.
- 4. Damage or Unathorized Removal of Library Materials
- 4.1. Removal of books or resources from the library without signing them out will result in the suspension of library membership;
- 4.2. Loss and damage of books or other material may result in revoking of library privileges;
- 4.3. All lost and/or damaged materials are the responsibility of the borrower and must be replaced.
