Borrowing privileges

Restricted to persons holding U of T library cards and faculty, staff, or graduate students from OCUL members holding own University ID. Outside firms through interlibrary loan only. Books circulate 2 weeks to undergraduate students, 4 weeks to graduate students and stafff and 6 weeks to faculty. Books on short term loan may be taken out after 3 p.m. for an overnight loan.

Types of restricted materials

Periodicals and reference materials do not circulate. Theses and dissertations circulate to U of T students and staff only. Others need to obtain photocopy through Gerstein ILL.

Is photocopying available? Cost?

Available in the library at the rate of 10 cents a copy using Tcard. Users need to come with value on the Tcards because we do not have the facility to add value on them.

Size and scope of collection

38,256 volumes (April 2005). Covers physics, meteorology and geophysics. Good collection of journals in these subject areas. Books for advanced undergraduate and graduate courses; books not found in the Physics Library are usually found in the Gerstein Science Information Centre. Theses
