Computing Facilities
Laidlaw Library has 24 PC computers for U of T students, faculty, and staff. Printing costs 15 cents per page (using a T-Card or paying cash at the circulation desk). Wireless access is available for U of T students, faculty, and staff.
- Anyone with a valid U of T library card / TCard is welcome to borrow.
- Undergraduate students: 2-week loan with up to 3 renewals.
- Graduate students, faculty, and staff: 6-week loan with up to 3 renewals.
- Other borrowers: Please see Loan privileges at most U of T Libraries.
Books in the Purdy Collection do not circulate.

There are two coin operated photocopiers. Cost per copy is 10 cents, coins only.
Laidlaw Library has about 35,000 items in the humanities and social sciences, including: many books related to University College's academic programs (Canadian Studies, Drama, Health Studies, Sexual Diversity Studies, and UC One: Engaging Toronto); a writing, research, and study skills collection; and the Purdy Collection (about 3,000 Canadian literature books which once belonged to the Canadian poet Al Purdy).
