What if a link doesn't work and the journal home page says "that page can't be found" ? What should I do next?

A link comes up in my search but doesn't link to the article full text. The journal home page says 'we apologise but that page cannot be found.'

There are many possibilities for inaccuracies in full text linking. When this happens, try an alternate route to the article or use different data to locate it:

  • Type in the article title in the "Start your search" box on the library homepage. The article may come up at top of the list of articles
  • Try the Article Finder. It's extra accurate if you have the DOI or PMID of the article.

If problems persist contact staff at a reference desk or e-problems@library.utoronto.ca and we will investigate further.
