What is my library card barcode and PIN?

Your TCard barcode and PIN let you log on to password-protected U of T library resources and services like your library account, online journal articles, databases, ebooks, and RACER.

Barcode

It's the 14 or 16 digit number printed under the barcode of your TCard.

PIN

Usually it's the last four digits of your student number which is printed under your name on your TCard, but you can change your PIN online at any time.

    Forgot your PIN?  Have it emailed to you.

    PIN exceptions:

    • Research readers: You chose a PIN when you registered for your Research Reader card
    • Visiting faculty and scholars: Use the last four characters of your UTORid with any letters in uppercase
    • Postdoctoral fellows: Use the last four characters of your UTORid or your personnel number with any letters in uppercase 
    • Continuing studies students: Use the last four characters of your UTORid with any letters in uppercase
    • Hospital postdoctoral fellows: Use the last four characters of your UTORid with any letters in uppercase
    • Postgraduate Medical Education registrants: Use the last four characters of your PGME student number
