Please note: When you log in to UTmail+ using the Outlook Web App, your login is managed by the University of Toronto.Any means of accessing the UTmail+ service other than through a web browser will securely transmit your UTORid and password through Microsoft’s systems.
Email for UofT alumni is offered through two mail systems:
Alumni UTmail+ is a UTmail+ account that ends in @alum.utoronto.ca . Once you graduate from U of T, you will be given Alumni UTmail+ in addition to your Student UTmail+ (your @mail.utoronto.ca address). Messages sent to your student account will be forwarded to your alumni account for at least 2 years after graduation to allow you to alert your contacts.
If you have a UTORid but do not have a UTmail+ account ending in @alum.utoronto.ca, you can create one by going to the UTORid management website and selecting add email services under Make Changes.
If you do not have a UTORid, you can get one by creating one at the UTORid management website. You will need your library number and student number. Under First Time Users click on create your UTORid and follow the steps on the pages that appear.
Sending As @alum.utoronto.ca
Until October of the new school year, your default "from" email address will be your @mail.utoronto.ca account. The new address may be used earlier if you are using a mobile device, or desktop email program. To check the current status of your email account's from address, use the UTORid Get Information tool .
Remote Password Reset
The Password Reset Tool allows you to reset your UTORid password remotely if you have forgotten it. In order to access the remote password reset process, you must Register for the Password Reset Tool
A Gmail hosted service offered to alumni who graduated before June of 2012. For more details, see See the Alumni Affairs site to Login, request an account, or for additional information on the service.
