6.33 Words Cited as Objects

6.33.1 SGML

Enclose the word or phrase within the the tags <term> ... </term>. If there is an explanation for the word or phrase, use the tags <term id=""> ... </term> for it and enclose the explanation with the tags <gloss target=""> ... </gloss>. The value for the target attribute should be a string unique to this instance and be found in the value for the id attribute.
