Whether you're conducting a lit review as part of a major research paper, thesis, or dissertation, gathering the relevant scholarly literature surrounding your topic can be challenging.
This workshop will introduce you to search strategies and techniques you can use to get started on a new literature review or improve one you already have underway. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you will leave the workshop able to:
- Identify useful search tools and subject-specific databases to explore
- Develop keyword search strategies using advanced search operators
- Troubleshoot common search challenges
- Use citation indexes for effective citation searching
