EMERGENCY COLLECTIONS
National Emergency Library
The National Emergency Library was a temporary collection of books that supported emergency remote teaching, research activities, independent scholarship, and intellectual stimulation while universities, schools, training centers, and libraries were closed due to COVID-19. The National Emergency Library launched on March 24, 2020, and closed on June 16, 2020.
After June 16, books in the National Emergency Library are available to one borrower at a time using controlled digital lending.

HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS) – NO LONGER AVAILABLE AFTER SEPTEMBER 7, 2021.
U of T has signed onto this new service that will allow U of T faculty and students online reading access to pre-2004 in-copyright volumes in the HathiTrust Digital Library for which a print copy is also held by U of T. Please note that the titles in HathiTrust are in all languages. This service is available only for the period of the Covid-19 crisis during which the library is closed and physical books are not circulating.
