Black History Month 2022 at the University of Toronto Libraries

Black History Month Reading List

This Black History Month Reading List was created by University of Toronto Library Staff. The list celebrates Black joy as resistance, Black feminisms and the many contributions of Black authors and creators to scholarship and many intellectual traditions. Through this list we hope to show some of the many facets of celebration, success, scholarship and critique that come from important and influential Black writers. For more information on Black research and student support, please visit the Black Graduate Students' Association, the Black Students Association, the Black Research Network, and the National Black Graduate Network. The University of Toronto has also convened an Anti-Black Racism Task Force that has released a public report.
