How do I use the 3D printer at Gerstein?

3D Printing @ Gerstein + MADLab is a self-serve 3D printing studio located in the MADLab at the Gerstein Science Information Centre.

The service is available for all University of Toronto students, staff, and faculty. You do not need to have any prior 3D printing experience to use the 3D printers.

To use the 3D printer, you must first become a 3D Printing @ Gerstein + MADLab Certified User. This means attending a 1-hour safety training session in the MADLab, passing a 17-question online knowledge test, and signing a safety and liability waiver.

Once you become a certified user, you will be able to book time on one of our 2 Makerbot Replicator 2 printers for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 4 hours between 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
