On January 17, 2019, University of Toronto Libraries honoured the four winners of the inaugural Showcase Your Work competition at a well-attended awards ceremony. Sandhya Mylabathula, Tim Rappon and Nida Shahid, and Tracy Spurrier spoke about their projects following a welcome and introductions by Chief Librarian Larry Alford.

The Canadian Press wire service article about Tracy Spurrier’s winning exhibition on her discovery of a lost Mesopotamian queen garnered coverage by 77 media outlets coast to coast, including CTV News, The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and The Hamilton Spectator.

Additional stories ran in U of T media, with Kinesiology covering Sandhya Mylabathula’s award for her exhibit on concussion research, while Nida Shahid’s and Tim Rappon’s exhibition on the application of neural network models to healthcare decision making was reported by the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.

Showcase Your Work: U of T Libraries Graduate Student Exhibition continues until the end of February in the first floor exhibition area of Robarts Library.
