Connect to Google Scholar

Searches scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources, including books, articles, abstracts, and theses, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other web sites.

Search Tips:

Configure Google Scholar to access journal articles for free as a member of the UofT community:

  1. Go to Google Scholar
  2. Click "Settings"
  3. Click "Library links"
  4. In the search box, type University of Toronto
  5. Select all boxes that include "University of Toronto Libraries"
  6. Click "Save"

If the item is available at UofT, you should be able to connect to an article or the library catalogue.

To connect Google Scholar to your Refworks account:

  1. Go to Google Scholar
  2. Click "Settings"
  3. Under Bibliography Manager, click "Show links to import citations into"
  4. Choose RefWorks from the drop down list
  5. Click "Save"

You will see the Import to Refworks option in your Google Scholar search results.
