New College Library (Ivey)
20 Willcocks Street
Toronto, Ontario M5S 1A1
The Donald G. Ivey Library contains over 25,000 volumes in circulating and reference collections in the social sciences and other fields.
Specialized Subject Collections
Special collections focus on New College programs in African Studies, Caribbean Studies, Disability Studies, Equity Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. Women and Gender Studies is also supported by an important inter-disciplinary collection of women and gender studies journals.
The Ivey Library is also home to the print working collection used to develop and update Representative Poetry Online (RPO).
Collection StrengthsThe New College location stamp in the Union Card Catalogue in Robarts Library is no longer reliable as new holdings have not been entered and some older material has been sent to Sigmund Samuel Library. All New College materials should be available through the Library Catalogue.
Two study rooms available to be booked and restricted to U of T students, staff, and faculty with a valid UTORid. More information on Booking a Group Study Room go to https://www.newcollege.utoronto.ca/academics/library/using-the-library.
