Biography
Tim Neufeldt is an instruction librarian and head of circulation at the U of T Music Library, and also an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Music, receiving his Ph.D. in Musicology in 2006 and Masters in Library Science in 2010. Dr. Neufeldt is active in both fields, with recent articles appearing in MLA Notes and Fontes Artis Musicae. Tim's most recent publication is part of the collected works of John Eccles series, titled Masques and Dramatick Operas: The Rape of Europa by Jupiter, The Loves of Mars and Venus, The Mad Lover, and The British Enchanters. https://doi.org/10.31022/B243. His current research interests include information literacy, early 18th-century European music, and sheet music publications in early Canada (ca. 1867-1920).
One of Tim’s favourite library activities is supporting students’ and faculty’s research needs through one-on-one consultations and through embedded library instruction in partnership with other courses offered at the Faculty of Music. He also teaches MUS1000 Introduction to Music Research I, along with Arts & Science electives.
