Some University of Toronto libraries lend laptops, iPads or other technology to current students.
New College Library 10 Dell laptops
- Must have a valid TCard
- Laptops and iPads can leave the library
- Loans are for 24 hours
- Loans are available until December 17, 2020
Technology loans are currently not available for the following libraries at this time.
- OISE students, staff, and faculty only
- Must have a valid TCard
- Laptops can leave the library
- Four hour loan period
- No advance bookings
- iSchool students, staff, and faculty only
- Must have a valid TCard
- Wide variety of computing devices (e.g. netbooks, ebook readers, camcorders)
- Loan period varies depending on the device
E. J. Pratt Library Laptop, Chromebook & Tablet Loans
- Must have a valid TCard
- Laptops may not leave the library, but Chromebooks and tablets may be used outside the library
- Laptops have a 6 hour loan period; Chromebooks and tablets have a 2 day loan period
- Current University of Toronto undergraduate and graduate students
- Must have a valid TCard
- No advance bookings
- Laptops can leave the library
- Five hour loan period or due back 30 minutes before the library closes (whichever comes first)
Accessibility Services Laptops
- Must be registered with Accessibility Services
- Must have valid TCard
- Laptops can leave the library
- 24 hour loan period during the week
- Advance bookings only
Emmanuel Library Laptop & Chromebook Loans
- Must have a valid TCard
- Laptops have a 6 hour loan period; Chromebooks have a 2 day loan period
- Laptops may not leave the library, but Chromebooks may
John M. Kelly Library Laptop Loans
- Must have a valid TCard
- Laptops may not leave the library
- Must be returned before the library closes
