Licensed Software

The Licensed Software Office (LSO) negotiates and administers software license agreements with many vendors in order to decrease overall software costs to the University. The software can be purchased by U of T students, faculty and staff. However, depending on our agreement with the vendor, not all software is available to everyone.

Coming Soon MATLAB for July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023

Updated June 29, 2022: We are currently working on updating our catalog and expect that products will be available the first or second week of July. The order has been processed by the vendor.

Currently installed versions of the license will continue to work until the end of July.

Survey SAS for July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023

We are surveying our SAS clients to determine who is using the license for administrative purposes. If you are using the product for this purpose please let us know as soon as possible. SAS has informed us that they have Strategic Fee Waived Licenses that can be used for teaching, learning, and academic research at no cost. Administrative use is not covered and knowing the size of the group will help determine the best steps forward.

Information on how to apply for the Strategic Fee Waived Licenses with SAS will be communicated when provided by the vendor.

Delay UTORMFA Hardware Token Delivery Delays

Update June 24, 2022: The hardware token vendor is currently experiencing supply chain issues. Tokens ordered for shipping will be delayed by two to three weeks. When we have more information we will update this space and the products in uSOURCE and software.utoronto.ca

We do have a small inventory of tokens for those who can travel to Robarts Library for purchase and pickup.
