How to make a request

Find your item(s) by using LibrarySearch

Click the GET IT link in each item's catalogue record and follow the prompts to request. If you are not yet signed into LibrarySearch, you'll need to enter your UTORid to request it.

If the item comes up as a HathiTrust item, you will not be able to request it for curbside pick up.

You will receive an automated email message to acknowledge receipt of your request. Staff will check the shelves for your requested items and send you a message about any requested book(s) that are not available

Wait for a final e-mail notice with instructions about picking up your item(s)
Book pickup & due dates
Pick up window & due dates
Pick up: Items will be held for pick up for 14 days from the time of your email pickup notice.
Due dates: Due dates of Curbside Pickup Service items are extended to the end of September 2021 OR whenever your library privileges expire, whichever comes first. Renewals are not applicable at this time.
To check due dates: Either click on the MY ACCOUNT link on the UTL homepage – just under the LibrarySearch box – or sign in via LibrarySearch. Click on your name to see the MY LOANS link. Due dates appear next to each item charged out to you. This FAQ explains.
Pick up instructions
The Robarts Library Curbside Pickup Service is only accessible via the 2nd floor south portico entrance (St George St. side, at Harbord St.) by the Fisher Library side. There is no access to Robarts Library from this space.
Please wear a mask when you arrive, and follow these steps:

Step 1: Enter through the revolving doors

Step 2: Pick up is contactless. Show your TCard or a piece of government-issued ID to library staff from the marked distance

Step 3: Collect your books, which will be packaged in a paper bag labeled with your name

Step 4: Exit through the Harbord St.-side revolving doors
